Siding & Exterior
Re-siding and exterior envelope work across North Idaho — weather barrier and flashing done properly behind siding that changes the whole house.
No obligation. We reply within one business day.

The short version
New siding transforms a house on the day it goes up. Whether it is still doing its job in fifteen years comes down to what happens behind it: the weather barrier, the flashing at every penetration, and whether water that gets in has a way back out.
Re-siding is also the one moment when the envelope is open. If insulation or window flashing needs attention, this is when it costs the least to do.

The first walk-through is how we both decide whether we are the right fit. You get straight answers either way.
What's included
Old siding removed and the sheathing inspected — we tell you what we find before covering it back up.
Installed and lapped correctly so water that gets past the cladding drains out instead of soaking in.
Windows, doors, decks, vents and transitions — where re-siding jobs succeed or fail.
Lap, board-and-batten, panel and mixed-material elevations, installed to the manufacturer's spec.
The details that make an elevation read as finished rather than merely covered.
Exterior insulation added while the wall is open, where it makes sense for your build.
Why Bugle
Rot, failed flashing and missing barrier get reported and priced honestly rather than quietly re-covered.
Insulation and window flashing are cheapest to fix while the wall is open. We flag it rather than letting the chance pass.
Where a property sits in the wildland interface, we will talk through ignition-resistant materials and detailing.
What customers say
“Highly recommend Bugle Construction! We had a portion of our large asphalt driveway replaced with exposed aggregate concrete. Tyler D. met with us, understood our goals and design ideas and provided us with an estimate. He was also a very responsive point pe…”
“I recently worked with Bugle on a covered deck addition to my property. Everyone is stunned by the craftsmanship of the finished product. Pictures truly don't do it justice. Michael set up all the moving pieces for any subcontractors and was transparent and f…”
“Bugle Construction did a beautiful job with our timber wrap around covered porch, and window eyebrows. We couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out! They started the job in the middle of the winter months and had some zero degree days to deal with. They…”

The money question
We do not publish prices, because a number without your site behind it is a guess — and the ones you see advertised usually are. Here is what actually moves it, so you can judge any quote you get, ours included.
Access, slope, soil and how far services have to run. Two identical builds on different lots are not the same price, and the difference is decided before anything is drawn.
Span, storeys and roof geometry drive the frame. A simple shape built well is almost always better value than a complicated one built to a budget.
The same deck in cedar, composite or full PVC covers a wide range. We price the options side by side so the trade-off is yours to make, not ours to assume.
Where the money goes once the structure is done. This is the part you can move most, and the part we can phase if it helps.
We walk it before anything is priced.

Bugle is a builder, not a lender — but Jared Teel and Jason Kuettel are the two local loan officers our clients most often work with, and both are used to construction draws. Their details are published in full.

Siding & Exterior FAQs
Sometimes it is possible, but it hides whatever is underneath and complicates flashing. We will tell you honestly whether it is a false economy on your house.

Where we build
We work across the Inland Northwest from our office in Post Falls. If your property sits outside these communities, call us anyway — we will tell you honestly whether we are the right builder for it.

Tell us where the property is and what you have in mind. We will walk the site and come back with a real scope and a real number.
